Hike-a-bike (40 minutes)
A high-altitude loop that goes by pine woods, laurel forests and volcanic landscapes. Includes remote areas and there are only a few towns where to find accommodation and resupply. The route mainly goes on untechnical double tracks but includes a few rocky sections and 1 hour hike-a-bike. Ideally ridden on mountain bikes or gravel bikes with a 45mm minimum tire width. You can join the loop climbing to Vilaflor from Tenerife South airport on the TF-21. The loop can be ridden in 2-3 days, there are no resupply or accommodation options between Erjos and Vilaflor.
Camp: Chío (km40) Barranco la Arena (km110), Madre del Agua (km160). Those camp areas are located at hight altitudes, expect low temperatures at night. In need of an emergency shelter set up late and strike early. Never start campfires.
